'You are not alone'
Daniel grew up going to church in his hometown of Dorchester. “But when I came to Durham to study, I did not look for a church. I basically rejected that part of my life.” The following years Daniel enjoyed life as a student. “I did not focus so much on study, more on the social side.” One morning, still very hungover and eating KFC for breakfast, there was a knock on the door. "A group of very enthusiastic Christians asked if they could do my dishes. A bit strange, but they were very persistent.
I remember talking to them and being very struck that they were so different than any other students I met. It made me think to myself that maybe there is something in this whole christianity thing.” Daniel decided to read a book by C.S. Lewis on Christianity that was gathering dust on his bookshelf. “It made sense, but I remember I couldn’t accept all the miracles. While reading the book, I felt prompted to put the book down.
I knew: God is real
Then I heard a voice in my head, but I knew it wasn’t my voice, saying: ‘You are not alone’. I felt washed over by feelings of peace and comfort and I knew: God is real, and I need to treat Christianity as real.” In this video, Daniel talks about his faith journey and where he is now with God.
